I thought this quote is quite fitting, probably for most of us "Humans".

The third agreement in don Miguel Ruiz's book "The Four Agreements" is "Don't Make Assumptions." This agreement encourages us to avoid jumping to conclusions or making up stories in our heads about what others are thinking or why they act a certain way. So often, we assume we know what’s going on without actually asking questions or getting clarification, and that can lead to misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and unnecessary conflict. When we stop making assumptions, we open the door to clearer communication and more authentic relationships. 😍

Instead of assuming, the key is to ask questions and be open to hearing the truth, even if it’s not what we expected. This helps us avoid unnecessary stress and drama because we’re not filling in the blanks with our own fears or insecurities. By embracing this agreement, we learn to communicate more directly and honestly, which can prevent a lot of the tension and frustration that comes from misunderstanding others. It’s all about staying curious and giving others the benefit of the doubt, which makes for smoother, more harmonious interactions.
