About Samantha Hinkle - 🤍🤍

“Having grown up a dancer, movement has always been a vehicle for my self expression and healing. In college I took my first yoga class in a barn and have since then been enchanted with the practice. In 2017, I graduated with a B.S. in Public Health and yearned to expand my knowledge through yoga teacher training.

I completed my RYT-200 with Transformation Yoga Project and the Temple Inside-Out Center in May of 2018. Transformation Yoga Project provides yoga through a trauma-sensitive lens to individuals who are impacted by trauma, addiction, and incarceration. Through the Temple Inside-Out Center, I was able to train alongside folks incarcerated at a prison called SCI Chester. In June of 2019, I completed a 250 hour dynamic vinyasa training with Yoga and Movement Sanctuary.

My studies have inspired me to create a community for participants to access and interpret information about themselves that can help them navigate their daily lives. I’m particularly moved by integrating other movement disciplines into a yoga practice as well as meditation and breathwork.”

It was so fun to have so many of our team members & instructors here with us this time. Your energy made this retreat even more enjoyable! We love you guys!

To the new friends we met this year, you were so amazing! It was a pleasure to get to know you. To the returning friends, we are grateful for you and feel lucky to spend this time together 🤍

About Dana Leeds!
Dana Leeds grew up in South Philadelphia and began dancing at age three. Throughout high school and college she trained at Koresh Dance Studio and was a member of Philadanco’s Training Company. She received her BFA in Dance Education with a concentration in Jazz Dance from The University of the Arts. She taught dance while in college and had a true passion for teaching. She served as a Teaching Artist in the greater Philadelphia area and as a performer for The Philadelphia Civic Ballet Company, each educating elementary and high school students about dance. Her love for Arts in Education led her to become the Dance Director of St. Maria Goretti High School in Philadelphia, the after-school dance instructor at Germantown Academy’s Lower School in Fort Washington, and most recently The Dance Director of St. Helena School in Blue Bell. Dana has also taught in numerous dance schools, daycare centers and preschools teaching all styles of dance to all age groups and levels. She has also choreographed for the Philadelphia Mummers Parade.

Dana truly believes that dance should be fun and make you happy. Her approach in her classes is to make everyone feel confident, energetic and positive.

Also, as a member of Reya, you will see Dana in many classes. She has been practicing yoga, Pilates, and barre for many years. She was a Barre teacher at Twisters Wellness Studios. Her fitness and dance training encouraged her to start a middle school girls’ fitness class that incorporated barre, yoga, Pilates, and meditation, but mainly focused on kindness and body positivity. She is a certified Barre and Reformer instructor through Balanced Body.

Dana is the mom of 19-year-old boy/girl twins. In her free time, you will always find her with her rescue chihuahua, Freddy, on the Green Ribbon Trail. She loves to cook, bake, read in the sun and search for seashells on the beach. She has used her dance and fitness training along with her teaching to recover from multiple surgeries to rebuild and strengthen her mind and body.

We’re thrilled to welcome our friend and REYA community member, Dana Leeds, to the studio this March for four special Cardio Dance Sculpt pop-up classes! Get ready to have fun, dance, sweat, and move to the beat in these energizing, unheated sessions — the perfect way to shake things up and try something new!

What is Cardio Dance Sculpt?
Dance Sculpt uses simple but effective dance movements to sculpt and tone while you dance and have fun. All body parts will be used to focus on each muscle group as you get your heart rate up throughout the choreography. Choreography will be broken down and repeated so that dancers feel comfortable as they move. There will be multiple combos in the class, but each done twice to two songs at two different beats per minute. By the second song, you will be ready to move at a faster pace, LET GO and sweat. Songs and choreography will change each class so you will never feel behind. All levels are welcome. No dance experience is necessary. Get ready to move, shake, sweat and smile.
