The holidays are in full swing at The Hill. Our annual CEO party, hosted by Corey Evans, brought residents, staff, and board members together to recognize The Hill’s many achievements over the past year, and the teamwork and people who helped make it all happen. It was an evening filled with beautifully prepared food, cocktails, and a warm atmosphere where we celebrated the season and recognized what a truly special place The Hill is to live and work.

Today was a BIG day for our community! A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the opening of the new Dixon Health Center and The Hill’s long-awaited Memory Care Neighborhood, McKeown House. These extraordinary new spaces were thoughtfully designed for our staff, residents, and their families, and will allow The Hill to continue to provide the very best care in our area. This milestone was made possible with the generous support of many donors, to whom we extended our deepest gratitude. Special thanks to Karen Rogers from 6abc who joined the event and shared her own experience with family members who have been affected by dementia-related illnesses.

The Hill is home to some extraordinary individuals who have served our country with honor. Today, we took a moment to recognize their contributions. Guest speaker and Navy veteran Monica Hallman shared stories and reflected on the courage and sacrifices made by our service members and their families. We thank all who have given of themselves to defend our freedom.

The Hill is proud to be recognized as one of America’s Best Nursing Homes for 2026. The award, designated by Newsweek and Statista, selects a state-by-state list of nursing homes that provide the highest commitment to safety, quality of care, and resident well-being. Facilities were evaluated on four pillars including performance data, peer recommendations, accreditations, and resident satisfaction. In 2025, The Hill was ranked #5 in Pennsylvania and has moved up to the #3 position for 2026.

It was a "bushel" of fun at The Hill as residents and team members were invited to an on-site Farmer's Market. A variety of complimentary, seasonal vegetables from local growers and vendors were offered. A big thank you to our Dining department for hosting this wonderful event!

There was Mummers Magic in the air last night as the Ferko String Band brought their unique brand of celebration to The Hill. Showcasing their incredible talent and tradition, there were costumes, parasols, music, and fun! The residents and staff had a grand old time!

It was a beautiful day to welcome students from the Community Partnership School in Philadelphia who visited as part of Intergenerational Program between the school and a group of residents at The Hill. The Hill's horticulturist shared some fun facts about trees and the students participated in a hands-on workshop where they planted pansies and lettuce. The program is proving to be a wonderful success and a rewarding experience for both the students and Hill residents.

Today Hill residents were invited to a Wellness Fair where they had the opportunity to learn about the many community resources available to help promote mental and physical well-being. Our own Hill Home Services was there along with Weaver’s Way Co-op, Wissahickon Trails, Faherty’s Shoes, Amy’s Yoga for Life, and many more. There were fun treats and giveaways and someone will even win a free, two-hour session with a personal trainer! It was fun and informative way to spend a rainy day.

The Hill commemorated the 113th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic at an event featuring live music, a specially curated dinner menu, and a presentation by a renowned Titanic expert. It was an enjoyable but meaningful way to reflect and pay tribute to the lives of those forever linked to the Titanic’s story.
