"Out of the mountain of despair, a stone of hope." - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Today we honor Dr. King's legacy and his vision of a more just and compassionate world. At the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, we carry forward this spirit of hope by walking alongside children and families who have experienced trauma.

Every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and valued. Every family deserves support and healing. Through connection-based, trauma-informed care, we strive to be that stone of hope: transforming despair into possibility, isolation into belonging, and pain into resilience.

Dr. King reminded us that our destinies are intertwined. When we invest in healing for our most vulnerable children and families, we invest in hope for us all.

Our Youth Mental Health Summit: New Year Mental Health Pulse Check is approaching, and we are calling on two groups who play a vital role in making this experience impactful: our youth and our sponsors.

To our youth (ages 10–16):
This summit is a space created for you. A place to pause, check in with yourself, and learn healthy ways to manage emotions, stress, and life’s challenges. With grief and loss weighing heavily on so many young hearts right now, these conversations are not optional, they are necessary. Your feelings matter, and you deserve support as you step into this new year.

📝 Youth Registration is still OPEN:

To our sponsors and community partners:
This is your opportunity to directly invest in the mental and emotional wellness of our youth. Your support helps us provide a safe, supportive environment, meaningful programming, and resources that equip young people with tools they can use far beyond this summit.

Whether through financial support, in-kind donations, or resource sponsorship, your partnership helps ensure that more youth are able to be in the room where encouragement, education, and healing take place.

📩 Interested in sponsoring with us?

Together, we can create space for healing, connection, and hope because youth mental health is not just important, it’s essential.

I AM being intentional about me this season, this year. Back in October, I wrote down some things I wanted to do for myself or with myself when I created my prayer board during one of the awesome Prayer Board sessions offered by my coaching classmate/friend @ Chrissy Cifelli Soileau owner of Crave Coaching. So, today I checked off...Buy myself some flowers 💐.

Remember you matter ✨️.
