Crazy that this fellowship year is coming to an end! July 31st and the current fellows graduate and August 1st our three new fellows will be jumping into sports medicine life!

AMSSM Conference 2025! When the current fellows finally meet the fellows that walked before them! Crazy to see how many sports med docs Dr. Phillips has trained over the last 8 years!! Thanks for creating a great atmosphere and making sure we all graduate with all the tools required of great sports med docs.

Our fellowship is expanding!!! We are beyond excited to announce that we will have 3 sports medicine fellows starting the 2025-2026 year! Please welcome Dr. Jake Fries as he joins Dr. Jonathan Deck and Dr. Kwasi Boateng! Congratulations to all three of you! It is going to be a great fellowship year!

Dr. Giang was holding down the fort the last week while Dr. Morton was on vacation! Baseball and Softball are in full swing! Then the fellows joined Dr. Phillips and some of the other UHC docs to celebrate Holi after one of the baseball games today!

Louisiana Marathon weekend 2025! We joined the wonderful marathon medical team, Baton Rouge General Sports Medicine fellows, VCOM medical students, and LSU premed students to help care for all the athletes participating. It was a little cold but man do these runners have passion and mental grit! Thankful to be apart of a great event!
