Last week, our midwives attended the first-ever Community Birth Symposium in Baton Rouge—a gathering focused on strengthening collaboration between birth workers across all models of care.

We were especially grateful to attend alongside our longtime mentor, Sherri Daigle, the most beautiful soul. Sherri has played a huge part in shaping us as midwives over the years. It’s always a joy (and so much fun!) when we get to spend time together. 🥰

Time to Celebrate! Passage of HB1923 & Medicaid Budget Amendment!!

​Governor Youngkin, on the last day of legislative action, SIGNED HB 1923 and a budget that INCLUDES MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT PARITY FOR ALL MIDWIVES! Virginia becomes the first state in the nation to recognize autonomous midwifery practice and reimbursement at 100% of fee schedule for all nationally certified midwives! Congratulations Virginia!!!!

First-time mamas CAN birth at home, too 💕

This mama knew from the start that she wanted to welcome her baby at home. With her supportive partner by her side, they put in the work and poured their hearts into preparing—and it showed.

It was inspiring to witness her positive, yet realistic, mindset throughout her pregnancy, and especially in labor. So much strength and peace surrounded this birth, as they welcomed sweet baby Jonah earthside. These first-time parents totally rocked it!
