You’ve already made sense of it.
So why does it still feel the same?

Because insight doesn’t always change the response.

What remains is often held at the nervous system level.

This is where a more targeted approach makes the difference.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) allows us to process what’s still unresolved without having to relive it.

For clients ready for deeper, more efficient work,
I offer 3-hour trauma intensives.

Focused.
Intentional.
Designed for real change.

Healing isn’t always calm, clear, and peaceful.

Sometimes it feels like:
heightened awareness
unexpected emotions
old patterns becoming louder before they shift

This is often the part people don’t expect.

When you stop avoiding, you start noticing.
And noticing can feel uncomfortable before it feels relieving.

That doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.
It means your system is adjusting.

This is especially true in trauma work, where the nervous system is learning that something is no longer a threat.

You’re not going backwards.
You’re becoming aware enough for change to happen. . 📍Therapy Talks

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is designed to help the brain process distressing memories and reduce the emotional intensity attached to them.

ART may help with experiences such as:
• trauma and PTSD symptoms
• anxiety and panic
• intrusive memories or distressing images
• grief and loss
• phobias or specific fears
• emotional triggers that feel automatic
• distress connected to past experiences

Rather than repeatedly talking through painful events, ART works with the brain’s natural memory processing system to help update how those memories are stored.

Because of this, many people experience meaningful relief in fewer sessions.

At Therapy Talks, we offer trauma-informed psychotherapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy Intensives designed to help individuals move through difficult experiences with focused, evidence-based support.

That’s how trauma works.

Your nervous system doesn’t measure time the way your calendar does.
If something overwhelming happened, your body can still respond as if it’s happening now.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based trauma treatment that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories quickly and safely — without having to retell every detail.

Clients often notice:
• Reduced emotional charge around memories
• Fewer intrusive thoughts
• Decreased anxiety triggers
• Faster relief than traditional talk therapy alone

I offer ART intensives at Therapy Talks in Lafayette and via telehealth across Louisiana.

You don’t have to stay stuck in old survival patterns.

Hopping on the trend!
Plot Twist:
The girl who felt everything…
Became a therapist.
Turns out being “too sensitive “
Was actually a Superpower.
Little me learned to read rooms. Now I help people feel safe in them.
It wasn’t a weakness.
It was attunement.
Now I use it intentionally-with boundaries, trainings, and 15+ years of experience behind it.
Little me grew up to help people make sense of their stories.

She learned how much being understood as a person, not just a number mattered.
Becoming a therapist wasn’t random. It was integration.

Avoidance is one of the most misunderstood coping strategies.

It is not weakness.
It is not lack of discipline.
It is not character failure.

It is a nervous system strategy.

In trauma work and anxiety treatment, we don’t shame avoidance.
We understand it — and we slowly build tolerance for what feels hard.

If this resonates, save it.
And if you’re ready to work on the patterns that feel stuck, therapy can help. We are accepting NEW Clients . Contact Info is in our Bio.

For many trauma survivors, asking for help isn’t a mindset issue -it’s a nervous system pattern.

If your body learned that relying on others led to chaos, harm, or disappointment, of course reaching out feels hard.

That adaptation was intelligent.
It helped you survive.

And now, healing may look like slowly allowing support back in.

You don’t have to leap.
You don’t have to overshare.
You don’t have to trust all at once.

You can begin gently.

If you’re in Lafayette or anywhere in Louisiana via telehealth, Therapy Talks offers trauma-informed care at your pace.

🤍 Support doesn’t require you to stop being strong.
It just means you don’t have to be strong alone.

Sometimes I can’t help but talk about Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

Because when you watch someone walk in carrying years of trauma…
and walk out lighter…

You blast it.

ART isn’t surface-level coping.
It helps the brain reprocess stuck memories so they stop feeling so loud.

Fewer words.
Less rehashing.
More relief.

That’s why I keep talking about it.
Because it’s just that good.

Therapeutic progress isn’t just about technique.
It’s about relationship.

Research consistently shows that the quality of the therapeutic alliance is one of the strongest predictors of outcomes.

Translation?
If you don’t feel comfortable with your therapist, it matters.

You’re allowed to want:
• Warmth
• Attunement
• Honesty
• A nervous system that feels steady next to yours

The right clinical training matters.
But so does the vibe.

Healing isn’t linear.
Some days you bloom.
Some days you rest.

Both are growth.

There will be days when you feel lighter, clearer, stronger — and days when all you can do is pause and breathe. Rest is not regression. Slower seasons are not failure.

Your nervous system heals in waves.

Give yourself permission for both the blooming and the resting.

✨ 5 Years of Therapy Talks ✨

Five years ago, on my birthday, I took a leap of faith and opened Therapy Talks.
I had a vision for doing therapy differently — more human, more relational, more grounded in safety, trust, and real connection.
I was nervous. I was scared of the unknown. And I did it anyway.

Fast forward:
350 New Faces.
6,603 appointments.
And honestly — I'm just getting warmed up.

To every past and present client who trusted me with your story, your healing, your vulnerability, and your courage — thank you. You are the reason this work matters. You are the heart of Therapy Talks.

Here’s to growth, evolution, and the next chapter 🥂
With so much gratitude- Claire
