The DPC is a 72-hour doctorate program focused on advancing clinical expertise & specialization for mental health therapists with my studies focused on trauma & the military & first responder populations. I started my journey 5 years ago & throughout have navigated a full time job, running two businesses, various speaking engagements, & a personal life. I’ve been on vacations doing homework, spent entire weekends writing papers, & have turned down opportunities to prioritize this degree.

So many people have been by my side & have shown me support & grace in this journey & I will forever be grateful to each & every one of you. But a special shoutout goes to my husband who worked extra shifts to give me alone time to grind, who listened to my defense over & over again while giving me valuable feedback, & who didn’t let me lift a finger on any household duties so I could get here today.

Thank you to my G, my sweet daddy, & my wonderful in-laws for making the trip to be there & thank you to every single family member & friend who watched the livestream just to show me support. My heart is so full.

While this closes the academic chapter for my professional life it is the start of so much more.

✨EMDR CERTIFIED THERAPIST✨

I first was trained in EMDR in 2016. After using EMDR for several years I decided to pursue advanced EMDR Certification which required me to re-complete EMDR Basic Training which I started in 2023 and completed in 2024. I specifically pursued training and consultation with consultants and trainers who use EMDR + IFS Integration. This focus allowed me to be slow & intentional in the certification process. Every one of my EMDR Certification hours as well as my additional training requirement for EMDR Certification were all with an EMDR + IFS Integration focus. I am excited to share that I’ve officially achieved status as an EMDRIA EMDR Certified Therapist and look forward to continuing to grow my EMDR skills.

A big thank you to my consultants - Kendhal Hart, Beau Laviolette, & Amanda Steed. Consultation remains important to me & while my requirement for hours is complete I will remain engaged in the consultation process with these individuals & any others who align with an EMDR + IFS Integrated approach.

I’m honored to share that I am now a clinical partner with The Headstrong Project which enables me to extend my services for veterans, reservists & active duty military members beyond the free sessions.

is a non-profit that provides confidential, barrier & stigma free PTS treatment to veterans, service members, & family connected to the care.

I am really impressed with their program, their vetting process, & their requirements for their clinical partners. Not only do I feel this will be a benefit to the many military members needing care but will also provide me access to a variety of resources to expand my competency & knowledge.

Thin Line Advisory, founded and operated by Dr. Springer, provides specialized strategic consultation to public safety leaders across the nation — eliminating the need for leaders to make critical decisions in isolation, giving them the chance to be proactive, instead of reactive, about high-stakes problems, and introducing new insights and options for the complex, layered challenges leaders face.

I first connected with Dr. Shauna Springer in 2021 after reading her book “Warrior”, which has had a lasting impact on my clinical approach to working with military and first responder communities. Since then, we’ve had the opportunity to collaborate in various capacities, united by a shared commitment to delivering culturally competent care to those who serve. I’m truly honored to join her and the Thin Line Advisory team in this next chapter.
