What are you doing this week to further your healing journey?

Sometimes we think “goals” have to be a huge milestone or accomplishment to be valid.

The truth is that the little things matter too. “I’m going to take a walk this week” “I’m going spend some extra time with family and in my Bible this week” “I’m going to give myself more grace this week”

Sometimes these things are the real game changers on the path to bigger things.

Choose the little things too.

Sometimes, the world can make us feel like we don't fit in. We can feel like an outsider looking in, even when we're surrounded by others. But here, in our Restore Lafayette family, it's different. This is a place where you are seen, heard, and truly accepted for exactly who you are, right now.

No matter your past, your struggles, or your mistakes, you are a vital part of this community. Every tear you've shed, every step you've taken toward healing, and every word of your story has brought you to this very place. And we are so grateful that it has.

So, let's remember this truth today: you belong. You are not an accident, a burden, or an exception. You are a valued member of this family. We're all on this road to recovery together, and we wouldn't be complete without you.

We’re all in a hurry. We want to heal, to change, to become who God wants us to be, and we want it to happen now. But what if rushing is actually hindering what God is trying to do?

Think about a garden. A seed is planted and sits in the dark, building a strong root system before a single sprout appears. This unseen work is the most important part of the process. Our recovery is the same. God is strengthening our roots and building a foundation of faith, and that takes time.

When we rush, we risk becoming discouraged, missing valuable lessons, and producing weak, fragile growth that can't withstand a storm. The "waiting" period is not a delay; it’s a season of learning and surrender.

Trust the Gardener. He knows exactly what you need and when you need it. Rest in the promise that "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion." Let's stop rushing and trust His perfect timing. The fruit will come, and it will be beautiful and lasting!

Every tear you've cried, every setback you've faced, and every moment of waiting—it all has a purpose. God can take the broken pieces of our lives and turn them into something beautiful. He's a master at redemption and restoration.
