We’re shining our Provider Spotlight for this month on Nicole Pino Harper, M.D.

Dr. Harper is native to South Louisiana and enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University and attended American University of the Caribbean, earning her doctorate of medicine in 2009. Dr. Harper then completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans, where she earned the award for best Grand Rounds for her presentation, “Understanding the Option of Adoption”. In addition, she received the Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Surgery Award.

Dr. Harper’s training and skill set include exposure to both routine and high risk obstetrical and gynecological care as well as minimally invasive surgical techniques. She has been board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2015.

We love Dr. Harper and we know you do too!

Cardiovascular disease is the #1 cause of death for women. One in three deaths are heart-disease related. Wear Red for Women Day is tomorrow, February 6th, where we wear red to spread awareness about this Women’s Heart Disease and it’s prevention.

Join us in welcoming our newest provider, Jessica Trahan, WHNP!

Jessica Trahan, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, grew up in Carencro, Louisiana and has always had a heart for caring for women and families. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McNeese State University in 2021 and began her nursing career in Labor & Delivery in 2022. During her time at the bedside, Jessica gained extensive experience in obstetric care and earned certifications in inpatient obstetrics and fetal monitoring.

Her passion for being part of families’ most meaningful moments inspired her to further her education and expand her role in women’s healthcare. Jessica earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Women’s Health from the University of South Alabama in December 2025. She finds great fulfillment in walking alongside women through all stages of life and loves being part of both the beginning and expansion of families.

Jessica and her husband, Joey, currently reside in Lafayette and are proud parents to
four children: Jayden, Oaklyn, Nathan, and Parker. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys
attending church, spending time with friends, cheering on her children at their
extracurricular activities, and making memories with her family while exploring all that Acadiana has to offer.

Jessica is passionate about evidence-based care, patient education, and providing
compassionate, individualized care to every patient she serves. She is an active
member of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) and the Association of
Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).

We couldn't be more excited to welcome Jessica to the team!
