It’s been a while since I’ve done an update as of last Thursday Jordi is back home he has come a long way in the last few months but still has a lot of recovering to do he still isn’t walking on his own he still has weakness on the right side in his arm and leg but he will get there recovery is long he is receiving therapy at home through home health they plan to work with him for a month or two then we will go from there being in a wheelchair has not stopped him from being independent he does almost everything for himself but still needs help with some things his speech has also improved so much we have exercises to do at home when he is not receiving therapy for the most part we are all settling in and adjusting pretty well.

Today was Jordi’s last rounds meeting he has made excellent progress with managing self care he is doing everything in about 25 minutes he still needs supervision transfering to and from his wheelchair for his safety his right arm is doing a little better since his injections but he does still have some tightness so they are focusing on that the few days last week he didn’t feel well set him back a little but he’s back on track and participating well in therapy his blood pressure has been on the lower side so the doctor decreased his medicine he still has a long way to go he will be home in 2 weeks and will have to continue therapy once he is home.

Jordi just text me he was voted Mardi Gras king that made his day his next meeting is tomorrow so I will have another update tomorrow 2 more weeks and he will be home he still has a long road to recovery so keep the prayers coming thank you to everyone who has been praying and checking on us we appreciate all of you.

Just wanted to give everyone another update on Jordi the social worker called to let me know his next meeting with the therapists and his doctor will be next Wednesday the nausea and slurred speech he had at the beginning of the week is a side effect from a new medicine they put him on thankfully it has subsided and he bas been good the past two days the doctor checked him out today and his speech therapist said his speech is much better again thank you all for the prayers.

Update on Jordi he seems to be doing a lot better today he is back in therapy they are thinking the injections he got last Thursday may be what’s been making him feel off thank you all for the continued prayers!!

Please say some extra prayers for Jordi he hasn’t been feeling to good since yesterday he threw up once yesterday so far today he hasn’t but he’s been having some dizziness since yesterday his blood pressure is good his speech was off yesterday more than normal he said it seems better today the doctor has him resting in bed today.

Update From Jordi’s Meeting 1-31-24

Jordi is still making steady progress he has more movement in his right arm but still has some tightness he will be getting injections again February 5th he is still in a wheelchair but transfers on his own and is doing self care on his own with standby assistance in case he needs help and to make sure he doesn’t fall he is up to walking 120 feet with assistance during therapy his speech therapist said he has made great improvement all in all he is making steady progress but still has a long road to recovery and therapy will continue once he is home discharge is still the end of February.

Update from meeting 1/17/24
Jordi is still making steady progress he is still set to discharge at the end of February and will do outpatient therapy once he is home he is pretty much doing all of his self care on his own someone is on standby to assist if needed he has more movement in his right arm but still has some tightness he will be getting more injections soon he walks with a quad cane with assistance during therapy but he still is in a wheel chair and not walking on his own yet they are working on his balance and coordination he is walking a lot further during therapy than he was his recall and attention have improved when he gets off topic they are able to redirect him overall he is doing good and making slow but steady improvements it has been a long road and we still have a long way to go thank you to everyone who continues to pray we appreciate all of the prayers and we definitely feel them.
