These pretty impatiens were the inspiration for these bridal shower favors. They’re a custom blend of lavender essential oil, sweet orange essential oil, rose geranium compound, and calendula flowers swirled in French pink clay. They smell wonderful!

These mini logs are made to order in your choice of scent, and then you can cut your own soap. How many slices do you get? Well, that depends on how thick you slice them. Each log weighs between 2 and 2.5 lbs. The slices make wonderful hostess gifts - just tie with a ribbon and add a card. Or cut a few pieces for a guest bathroom.
Soaps shown are Anise Lavender and Eucalyptus and Tea Tree (a good acne soap!).

Just an FYI

Why does soap work so well on the SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus and indeed most viruses?

- Because it is a self-assembled nanoparticle in which the weakest link is the lipid (fatty) bilayer.

- The soap dissolves the fat membrane and the virus falls apart like a house of cards and "dies", or rather, we should say it becomes inactive as viruses aren’t really alive. Viruses can be active outside the body for hours, even days.

- Disinfectants or liquids, wipes, gels and creams containing alcohol (and soap) have a similar effect but are not really quite as good as normal soap. Apart from the alcohol and soap, the “antibacterial agents” in these products don't affect the virus structure much at all.

- Consequently, many antibacterial products are basically just an expensive version of soap in terms of how they act on viruses. Soap is the best but alcohol wipes are good when soap is not practical or handy (e.g. office receptions).

At Ekoaromas, we only use natural colorants in our soaps. If you’re going to shell out money for handmade soaps, why pay for artificial colorants? Just to match your bathroom?
This Brazilian purple clay is a new one for us (2nd from left). Not only does it create a pretty color for this lavender soap, but it also has some amazing benefits including removing impurities and dead skin cells, and also helps absorb excess oil from the skin.

Custom sugar scrub for a special customer! An interesting story as to how this unusual scent combination came about ... this customer happened to mix her rosemary soap and coconut soap together, both of which she purchased from me. She liked the combination so much she had me make a loaf of it for her. Then she decided she wanted a scrub. At the same time, she ordered an orange clove scrub. After I made both scrubs, I mixed the leftovers together to use for myself. The scent was awesome - kind of a sensual scent. I gave her some of the leftovers as well and now it’s her favorite. That’s how Tropic of Love was born!
