Alexander Funeral Home presented player of the week awards to Macon County High junior football standouts Xavier Bentley and Brennan Flowers.
Bentley – a halfback – was the player of the week from the Tigers’ 34-27 loss to Stone Memorial on October 3. Bentley rushed for a game-high 170 yards on 24 carries, including a 13-yard touchdown run. He had a 14-yard touchdown reception and made three tackles (one solo) on defense.
In last Friday evening’s 29-14, road win over Barren County (Kentucky), Flowers rushed for 115 yards on 13 carries, including touchdown runs of 43 and 2 yards.
Both Bentley and Flowers received a $50 gift card.

Senior Bo Warner has been named the Macon County High School football player of the week following last Friday evening's 26-14 loss at White County. Warner – a defensive lineman – recorded six tackles (two solo), and he was in on two tackles that resulted in a loss of yardage. Warner received a $50 gift card.
