FRONTLINE MANAGEMENT NAMES CARLOS LEYVA SR. AS 2025 NATIONAL ABOVE AND BEYOND AWARD RECIPIENT
Memory Care Team Member at Winfield Senior Living Community Honored for Extraordinary Compassion and Person-Centered Care.
WINFIELD, KS — Frontline Management is proud to announce that Carlos Leyva Sr., a Memory Care team member at Winfield Senior Living Community in Winfield, Kansas, has been selected as the 2025 National Above and Beyond Award recipient — the highest individual honor awarded across all Frontline communities nationwide.
The surprise announcement was made on-site, where CEO Adam Baker, COO Heather Stratton, and Frontline home office team members gathered to celebrate Carlos — joined by his wife and five children. The room erupted in applause as Baker read aloud the nomination letter, and Administrator Tomisha personally counted out the $1,000 prize into Carlos's hands.
Carlos has worked in healthcare since 1996, inspired by his mother, a registered nurse. In over a year on the Memory Care Unit at Winfield Senior Living, he has become indispensable — delivering person-centered care that attends to the physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs of every resident. He leads daily Bible study, worship, and engagement activities, and famously arrived fully dressed as Santa Claus at last year's Christmas party to personally visit every table. When he's off shift, families ask for him by name.
"I am in the business of making people happy." — Carlos Leyva Sr.
His nomination letter said it best: "He does not simply perform his duties — he elevates the standard of care every day."
Established in 2017, Frontline Management's Above and Beyond Award Program recognizes staff who go the extra mile across its communities nationwide. The 2025 recipient receives a $1,000 prize, a commemorative award, a gold name badge, and recognition on Frontline Matters.
