A Toast to Mental Health, Lafayette Indiana A Toast to Mental Health is an annual event providing needed funding for mental health programs.

Lafayette Daybreak Rotary in collaboration with Mental Health America--Wabash Valley Region, the National Alliance on Mental Illness – West Central Indiana (NAMI), and Willowstone Family Services will offer its 19th annual “A Toast to Mental Health” on May 7, 2026, at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds, 6:00-8:30 pm. MHA, NAMI, and Willowstone Family Services advocate and provide services for those

with mental illness in the Greater Tippecanoe County area. Over the previous 18 years, the Toast to Mental Health has raised more than $730,000 for its beneficiary agencies!

We are very excited to announce that one of our live auction items for the May 7 Toast to Mental Health will include a certificate for private tour of the Purdue Botany and Plant Pathology Teaching Greenhouse, where the winning bidder (and guest(s) will have the rare opportunity to view this once-in-a-lifetime blooming event; the Agave tequilana has been growing at Purdue for more than 30 years, and the flower has grown almost past the greenhouse ceiling (glass panels had to be removed).

A beautiful swan song to the plant's life, and the winning bidder will also be given a pup agave plant from Purdue to take home as a memento of this rare experience. he winning bidder will also receive a $100 gift card to The Lawrence restaurant to toast the experience and enjoy a meal "crafted from scratch with fresh, seasonal ingredients, presented in ways that are innovative yet approachable."

The Lawrence recently opened just blocks from the Purdue Teaching Greenhouse, in the Purdue Discovery Park area of campus, located in a more than 100-year old barn donated by Sonny Beck and Beck's Hybrids.

The Live Auction preview, along with current roster of Online Auction items, may all be viewed at the link below. Tickets are still available but close to selling out, subject to any new availability based on sponsorship confirmed attendee counts. The live program will be lead by Kelly Russell and Artisan Auctions, and we are excited to have Chad Evans as our emcee for this year's Toast to Mental Health!
