We’re honored to see Father Louis featured on Meet Your Neighbor, where he shares reflections on the early beginnings of Hospice of Acadiana and the spirit of compassion that helped shape our mission. 💙

His memories are a powerful reminder that Hospice of Acadiana was built by a community that believed deeply in caring for one another — and that same heart continues to guide us today.

February is American Heart Month — and today we’re thinking about the hearts of caregivers. ❤️

When you’re caring for someone you love, it’s easy to put your own health and well-being last.
But your heart matters too — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Take a moment today to check in with yourself.
A short walk. A deep breath. A conversation with someone who understands.

We see you. We support you.
And this spring, we’ll be creating a space just for caregivers in our community.

Stay tuned. 💙

Today is National Caregivers Day, and we want to pause to recognize the quiet heroes in our community.

Caregivers show up every day with love, patience, strength, and compassion — often while carrying so much behind the scenes. Whether you’re caring for a parent, spouse, child, friend, or neighbor… we see you. And we thank you. 💙

At Hospice of Acadiana, we know caregivers need care, too.

✨ Stay tuned — this spring, we’ll be hosting a Caregivers Summit designed to support, encourage, and equip those walking this journey.

More details coming soon.

💙 Honoring dedication. Celebrating service.

Hospice of Acadiana is proud to recognize Kim Arguelles, LMSW, Bereavement Counselor, and Lauri Duke, RN Case Manager, as they celebrate five years of service with our organization.

Over the past five years, Kim has provided compassionate guidance and steady support to families navigating grief and loss, while Lauri has delivered thoughtful, patient-centered care that brings comfort and clarity during life’s most tender moments. Together, their work reflects the heart of our mission and the continuity of care that defines Hospice of Acadiana.

Milestones like these represent more than years of service — they reflect dedication, empathy, and a deep commitment to the people and communities we serve across Acadiana.

Please join us in congratulating Kim and Lauri and thanking them for the difference they make each day. We are grateful to have them as part of the Hospice of Acadiana family. 💙

💙 We are incredibly proud to recognize our volunteer and We Honor Veterans program coordinator, Ricky Duhon, who was presented with the Robert D. Lowe Award for his many years of dedicated service to our local veteran community.

Ricky was honored by the Marine Corps League Acadiana Detachment 488 during yesterday’s Hub City Military Network meeting — a well-deserved recognition of his unwavering commitment to honoring and supporting those who have served.

Thank you, Ricky, for the heart you bring to our veterans and to our mission every day. 🇺🇸
