Even though chiropractic care works wonders for some people, others are not convinced that it can be an effective treatment.

But research has shown that while chiropractic care hasn’t helped issues like asthma, it can be a huge help for painTrusted Source, especially in the lower back.

A recent studyTrusted Source in JAMA Network Open focused on U.S. military personnel. It found that those who used chiropractic care — along with traditional medical care — had better pain relief outcomes than those who only sought out traditional medical care.

Scapular dyskinesis might sound complex, but it's a crucial, often overlooked, diagnosis for shoulder issues. It's unique because it's usually not painful on its own, yet it can be a primary contributor to almost every other painful shoulder diagnosis we encounter. This blog will dive into scapular dyskinesis, why it matters, and most importantly, how we, as chiropractors, can identify and address it to prevent future degeneration and injury.

Whiplash occurs when a person’s head moves backward and then forward suddenly with great force. This injury is most common following a rear-end auto collision. It can also result from physical abuse, sports injuries, or even amusement park rides.

Whiplash happens when the soft tissues (the muscles and ligaments) of your neck extend beyond their typical range of motion. Your symptoms might not appear for a while, so it’s important to pay attention to any physical changes for a few days following any crash or other injury event.

Whiplash is thought of as a relatively mild condition, but it can cause long-term pain and discomfort...

In the primary care setting, the opioid prescriptions rate is 30%, and a large number of patients who saw a primary care physician for LBP received care inconsistent with evidence-based clinical practice guidelines...... In 2018, evidence revealed that chiropractic reduced opioid prescription use by 55% and opioid costs by 74%.In 2025, a Veterans Administration study with a cohort of 128,377 patients reported that chiropractic care users were found to have 64% lower odds of receiving opioid prescriptions than non-users.

The knee is a complex hinge type of joint that consists of bone, cartilage, tendons, and ligamentous structures that are vulnerable to injury during high-intensity rotational and explosive movements. As such, acute knee injuries are often associated with sporting activities. It’s estimated that 2.5 million acute knee injuries occur in the United States each year. As with most musculoskeletal conditions—outside of certain emergency situations—treatment guidelines recommend non-surgical approaches as the initial treatment option...

TO ALL MY PATIENTS: PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE!

Most of you know that I have been gradually transitioning into retirement. While I am taking steps toward semi-retirement, I will still continue to provide chiropractic care and treatments with my Class 4 Laser.

NOT ALL LASERS ARE THE SAME!

My plan is to take a month or two off, then return to treat for about three weeks at a time, depending on how things unfold. I will work toward establishing a more regular schedule so that my patients can continue receiving the many benefits of chiropractic care and laser therapy, both of which have been so effective in my practice.

My Class 4 Laser treatments are always administered with myself or a certified assistant present throughout the entire session. This laser penetrates deep into the tissues to promote powerful and effective healing.

Unlike simple light therapies where no one is present, the Class 4 Laser is advanced technology that:

• Stimulates cell growth and cellular repair
• Supports advanced healing at the cellular level
• Targets damaged cells from sports injuries, arthritic joints, neuropathy, and many other conditions
• Is safe, non-invasive, and not painful

Because of the incredible results, many patients have encouraged me to continue practicing just for the laser treatments, and I am happy to do so.

For now, my office remains open at 23 Route 15, and care will continue at this location for a few weeks in October.

In the near future, treatments will be moving to a new office, and I will share those details once everything is finalized.

If you are interested in continued care, please feel free to call the office. We are still answering and returning calls a few times each week.

I feel truly blessed and privileged to have cared for so many of you over the years.

With gratitude,

Dr. Mary
