Louisiana Organization For Transplant (LOFT) was founded in 2016 to help expectant mothers donate their placentas from live-birth, scheduled caesarian section deliveries. Tides Medical is a biotechnology company headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana, that created LOFT as a tissue acquisition division established to facilitate the donation of placentas. Tides Medical’s mission is to provide wound healing and surgical products from placental membranes and amniotic fluid that are collected by LOFT.

In the U.S., donated placentas enhance the lives of tens of thousands of patients annually. Up to 100 patients can benefit from each donated placenta.

We understand and accept the responsibility placed on us with your gift. Which is why we have created a division that focuses only on placenta donation. The LOFT team is specially trained to use your gift for the miracle that it is, and treat it with the respect and appreciation it deserves.
