If your chronic wound is keeping you from traveling this summer, we want you to know we understand this burden. Talk to your provider about wound care while on the go and use these tips to make traveling with a wound a bit easier:

1. Pack a wound care kit with all of your supplies and medications
2. Remain vigilant about hygiene to prevent infections
3. Hydrate and use sun protection.
4. Use compression socks if appropriate to manage swelling.
5. Rest and relieve pressure off the wound every 1-2 hours.
