Dr. Schneider is a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana - Lafayette). He received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Louisiana State University in New Orleans. Dr. Schneider's extensive depth of training uniquely qualifies him to address and treat your intraoral and facial surgical needs. He has also surrounded himself with a personable staff ready to assist you. A question often asked of Dr. Bruce Schneider is, "Are you a Plastic Surgeon?" to which he proudly answers "NO". Dr. Schneider is a Board Certified Oral Surgeon and Maxillofacial Surgeon. The surgical specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, unlike Plastic Surgery, is specific to surgeries of the soft tissue and skeleton of the head and neck as well as the oral cavity. These surgeries include surgeries of the oral cavity (dental implants, tooth removal, pre-prosthetics), Facial Trauma, Reconstruction, Facial Cosmetic Surgery, Orthognathic Surgery, as well as Anesthesia services.
