Today marks 777 days since I decided to end my relationship with alcohol. It started as a 100 day “reset”, with the hope that I might be able to return to drinking moderately on occasion. But as I dove into my own history, patterns and feelings around alcohol I realized that it was not bringing anything positive into my life.
The moderation mind game was exhausting and usually did not work as well as I hoped, leaving me feeling frustrated and guilty. My words and actions never seemed to quite align with my authentic self after the third glass of wine. Mornings felt just a little bit groggy and more and more I noticed agitation where it really was not necessary.
This fall I will be offering a Sober October group open to those interested in examining their patterns, experience and relationship with alcohol - permanent (or even full) sobriety is not required. What is required is a curiosity about one’s own inner landscape and a desire to create healthier, more conscious choices.
Journal prompts, sober resources, mindfulness and meditation techniques and personalized intuitive energy self-healing practices will be the foundation of this month-long journey.
I will post more details as well as a link to save your spot soon.
If you have questions please message me or comment here and I will be happy to discuss.
The dates will be the first and last Friday evening of October for in person and will also include an online component.
If you do not live locally and would like to join the online component, please reach out and I will make that available!
