🌟 ATTENTION- IMPORTANT CHANGES TO “UNITEDHEALTHCARE” MEDICAID INSURANCE 🌟
SouthCare Medical wants to make sure everyone is aware:
Louisiana Medicaid will end its contract with UnitedHealthcare (UHC) on
December 31, 2025.
If your insurance is by UnitedHealthcare Medicaid, the coverage will term on January 1, 2026.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
📌 You should be automatically moved to a different Louisiana Medicaid plan.
📌 You will receive a letter or notice telling you which plan you are assigned to.
📌 You will have 90 days to switch to a different plan if you prefer.
📌 SouthCare Medical accepts ALL Louisiana Medicaid plans, so you can continue being seen here without interruption.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO NOW
✔ Make sure your address and contact information are up to date with Louisiana Medicaid.
✔ Watch for letters, texts, or emails from Medicaid or UnitedHealthcare about the change.
✔ Once you receive your new plan information, bring it to your next appointment or show it to our front desk.
✔ If you want to switch plans, contact Medicaid or your caseworker during the 90-day window.
