We hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Mother’s Day! We spent the day celebrating our family and celebrating Firiel.

Here is a list of the incredible things we celebrated:
📌Miki & Morgan have been successfully working together for 10 years
📌Miki has owned and operated Firiel for 22 years this October
📌Miki’s grandson is 4 and was accepted into a new preschool program for this summer.
📌Miki’s granddaughter is 2 going on 20 and was also accepted into a new preschool program for late summer.
📌Firiel is operating at 80% of what was normal before covid and so many wonderful people have come to celebrate our new studio.

We also took time to reflect on the last year including all the ups and downs.

At one point during the pandemic Firiel was completely closed for 2.5 months which averaged out to 350 appointments and beautiful faces we missed seeing and caring for. We felt quite helpless but each day we focused on what we could do.

In June we reopened at a 20% capacity offering 10% of our menu.

Going into 2020 we were already preparing for some major shifts. We had been in Louisville for 20 years and in the same building for 16 years and we were getting ready to move our office 17 miles away to Longmont. It doesn’t sound like a big distance but as we prepared for the move it felt like another planet. None the less we were excited for a change of pace.

We managed to get through the move during the pandemic while still operating at a very reduced capacity. It was a scary time for everyone and while our health remained in tact we had no idea if Firiel would survive the very necessary shutdowns.

Through those dark days came a rainbow and the phone started to ring and slowly clients, friends and family started to come in.

We are so blessed and happy that we persevere through the shut downs and we look forward to continue serving our new community here in Longmont and welcoming in our friends, our clients, and our families.

Thank you to everyone who continue to support our small business and our family as we navigated a very difficult year. We are so honored to be able to help those around us and empower members of our community. We look forward to seeing you more in 2021 and we are excited for what the future holds.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Boulder tonight. Our family in Table Mesa is safe and was not involved in today’s tragedy. We hope all of our friends and clients are safe as well. If anyone needs anything please feel free to reach out. Our deepest condolences go out to those impacted by the tragedy that occurred today. Our hearts are with you all.
