Taylor grew up playing soccer, doing gymnastics and water-skiing. She attended college where she studied psychology and played soccer, leaving college after her freshman year to pursue her dream of becoming a massage therapist and help people heal through bodywork. While in massage school she fell in love with Pilates after experiencing firsthand the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of controlled movement. After completing massage school she traveled to Thailand where she continued her body work training. When she returned from her travels she completed comprehensive Pilates training through Power Pilates and graduated in 2005, and she has been a full time teacher ever since.

Shana Gerson discovered Pilates around 10 year ago and instantly fell in love with how it brought together mind, body and spirit. The challenge and the way it forced her to rediscover her body in a new way got her hooked. Only after she discovered she had diastis recti after her second child, did she really understand the importance of Pilates and how important it is to move our bodies the correct way. She loves how Pilates can heal and strengthen the body as well as challenge the body and mind.
Shana received her training through the Pilates Center of Boulder. She is excited to help people see a shift in their body; whether it's helping them advance in the Pilates work, relieve pain, or become more aware of how they are using their body. Pilates isn't easy, but her clients' dedication to healing and strengthening their bodies inspires her every day.
Shana's incredibly supportive husband and two children bring her so much joy. Looking at the world through their eyes inspire her to be playful, curious, joyful and patient. She wants to bring that same perspective to her Pilates practice and clients. Having fun, being curious about the body, being joyful and patient with change is what she strives for every day.
