Special Delivery Alert 🎉

Our NEWEST Gift of Hope IVF Grant baby was born July 7th!! Little miss Swayze Gray needed to come into the world just a little bit early at 36 weeks due worries about growth restrictions and her mom Alexia’s issues with high blood pressure and preeclampsia. She’s been in the NICU since but mom says she thinks she will finally be able to come home early this coming week.

Until then, Alexia will be focusing on recovery from her c-section and making sure to be at the hospital for all of Swayze’s feedings and skin-to-skin cuddle time.

Congratulations new mom Alexia and we can’t wait to meet you soon Swayze! 😍

Since they were married in 2019, Christopher and Andrea have been trying to build a family together. When routine testing revealed that Chris had no s***m, their journey had them crisscrossing South Louisiana to different urology specialists on a quest to determine why.

Finally, after years of testing and different doctors, it was finally determined that Chris is a carrier of the cystic fibrosis gene that causes male infertility.

“Fatherhood and passing on a legacy is always something I’ve longed for,” says Chris. But he worried more about his wife Andrea possibly never being a mother. As the diagnosis sunk in, Chris slowly saw his social butterfly 🦋 become more withdrawn and sad. They felt alone in their struggle as no one in their immediate circle could truly understand the heartache and hopelessness they were experiencing.

Winning the Gift of Hope IVF Grant in 2024 changed everything. Now they are expecting their first baby in the fall of 2025.

A very special “WELCOME TO THE WORLD” to Eloise and Audrey, the identical twin daughters of our 2023 Gift of Hope IVF Grant winners Sarah and Daniel!! The girls were born on June 21st and spent a few weeks in the NICU but are now home.

It took a while for Sarah and Daniel to find the time to send an update 😂 Says Sarah: “I honestly underestimated how busy we would be, LOL! I wanted to go ahead and send in an update since it’s been a year since we were selected for the grant!”

Sarah was hospitalized at 30 weeks with severe pre-eclampsia. The girls made it to 34 weeks for a scheduled C-section and Sarah thankfully did not having any severe complications from the pre-eclampsia.

Audrey and Eloise were born a minute apart both weighing just under 4 lbs. “We were able to see them briefly before they were brought to the NICU.“

The girls spent a few weeks in the NICU learning to eat on their own and gaining weight. “Once they hit 4 lbs and were able to maintain their body temperatures, they were able to be weened out of the isolettes and come home a couple days after that. Audrey came home at 2 weeks and 2 days old and Eloise came home at 2 weeks 6 days old.”

“It has definitely been an adjustment adapting to taking care of 2 babies, but we are so happy to have them home and healthy and wouldn’t have it any other way! We have also had lots of help from our friends and family that we are incredibly grateful for!”

“We are so thankful for everything you guys have done for us and our beautiful angels! We love them so much and cannot imagine our lives without them 💕”

Congratulations to Gift of Hope IVF Grant winners Christopher & Andrea of Lafayette!

Christopher recently learned that he is a carrier of the cystic fibrosis gene, which explains the years of infertility he and his wife Andrea have endured. His only option for fathering a child is through in vitro fertilization coupled with microsurgical techniques to extract s***m.

“As a third-generation business owner, passing on a legacy means everything to me. But that all pales in comparison with giving the light of my life the gift she has always longed for which is motherhood.”
