Rural mountain towns across the U.S. - particularly in the Rocky Mountain states – are grappling with a mental health and substance use crisis. While many factors may be contributing to these challenges facing mountain communities, limited access to health care and resources almost certainly plays a significant role.

In July 2022 Clinica Family Health – in partnership with Mental Health Partners – opened two small clinics to serve our mountain communities: one in downtown Nederland and another just outside Black Hawk.

Both clinics offer a wide range of affordable medical, dental, and mental health services to individuals and families – services which are dearly needed in these long-neglected communities.

Celebrating National Health Center Week --
Free Pop-Up Pantry, Aug. 9, 2024

To celebrate National Health Center Week this year, Clinica Family Health and Community Food Share are hosting a free pop-up pantry at our Lafayette clinic. We know that many people in our community struggle to provide their families with nutritious meals. This is an opportunity for us to offer 250 of our neighbors and patients a bit more help. The pop-up pantry will be Aug. 9 at the Lafayette Clinic from 9am to 11am or until supplies run out. Food items will include fresh fruits and vegetables, Colorado corn, ground beef, cereal, milk, yogurt and more. This is a drive-through pantry, so please have your back seat or trunk empty and follow the signs once you enter our parking lot. No proof of income will be required.

CLINICA ALL-SITE CLOSURE: July 1-July 5, 2024

All Clinica Family Health locations will be shut for a planned closure from July 1 to July 5, 2024. No services will be available at any of our locations. We will resume normal business hours on July 8 at 8am. The nurse advice line will be available during the closure by calling (303) 650-4460. Thank you.
