We were honored to have Dr. Hanna Ilia and his daughter, Dr. Simone Ilia, sharing their expertise with residents and former residents on a variety of suturing techniques and procedures.

Dr. Simone Ilia, a professor at the UT Nashville Family Medicine program in Murfreesboro, joined Dr. Hanna Ilia in providing hands-on education and valuable insights to our learners.

We are proud to have both Dr. Hanna Ilia and Dr. Simone Ilia serving patients in our Emergency Room at MCH while also helping educate and mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals. 🩺

Macon Community Hospital hosted a valuable in-service last Friday for our ED and Med-Surg nursing teams. Shannon Smith, Paramedic, and Monica Chessor-Booleen, Flight Nurse, provided excellent insight on Rapid Sequence Intubation and Airway Management.

Their expertise and hands-on knowledge help strengthen our team’s ability to respond quickly and effectively in critical situations. We appreciate them sharing their time and skills to ensure we continue providing the highest level of care to our patients and community.

Macon Community Hospital was proud to have Angela visit MCHS and speak with Mrs. West’s classroom about infection prevention and nursing career pathways!
Students had the opportunity to learn about the importance of preventing the spread of infections in healthcare settings, as well as explore the many opportunities available in the nursing field.
