MEET JOHNEQUIA PATTERSON, MD, FAMILY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN, as she joins
the Macon Community Hospital family of healthcare providers!
DR. PATTERSON GRADUATED FROM THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF ANTIGUA
with her Doctor of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at Meharry Medical College. She is a member of several prestigious organizations
including the American Association of Family Physicians, the American Medical Women’s Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
SHE SPECIALIZIES IN COMPREHENSIVE, PATIENT-CENTERED HEALTHCARE and is specially-trained to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions. Dr. Patterson believes in building long-term

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and former colleague, Donna Caldwell. Donna was a valued member of the Radiology Department at Macon Community Hospital, where she served our patients and community with care and compassion.

Her warm smile, kind heart, and dedication to her work left a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of working with her. She will be deeply missed by all of us at MCH.

Jessi Martin was worried about her daughter, Kinsley (left). The seven-year-old was having trouble reading and had been recently diagnosed with dyslexia. Fortunately, Jessi found the
help her daughter needed at Macon Community Hospital. The MCH Speech Therapy program offers specialized treatments for patients with a variety of speech or language issues
including dyslexia, autism, dysphagia, cognitive conditions resulting from stroke and more. Amy Algood (right) is Kinsley’s Certified Speech Language Pathologist. “Amy is very sweet
and easy to work with,” Jessi says. “She pours a lot of love into my daughter and always goes above and beyond. Because Kinsley is on the autistic spectrum, she can sometimes
have a meltdown and needs to collect herself. Amy has so much patience when working with her. Kinsley also has trouble sitting still. Amy came up with the idea of having my
daughter sit in a chair that rolls and spins so she can be mobile and happy.” Before her therapy started in September, Kinsley could not read simple three-letter sight
words like “dog.” Today she is reading single sentences with help. Jessi has been so impressed with Kinsley’s improvement that her six-year-old daughter, Dixie, who is also
dyslexic, is now seeing Amy as well. “I just can’t say enough good things about Macon Community Hospital!” Jessi says.
