There are moments when staying quiet no longer feels neutral.
As a woman of color from an immigrant family—and as someone who loves this country deeply—I’m feeling heartbroken and concerned by what is happening right now, particularly the treatment of immigrants and the erosion of basic human dignity under this administration.
This isn’t about politics as ideology.
It’s about humanity, fairness, and remembering who we belong to.
At a deeper level, I believe we are profoundly interconnected.
What we allow to happen to one community shapes the soul of the whole—whether we acknowledge it or not.
I believe in accountability without cruelty.
In borders without dehumanization.
In safety that does not rely on fear.
I’m sharing this not to persuade or provoke, but to speak from alignment.
Silence no longer feels true.
I’m holding hope for a future rooted in compassion, responsibility, and care for one another—and that hope is why I’m willing to say something at all.
