Today, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season.

Today, Catholics receive ashes created from the past year’s Palm Sunday palms. You can visit any of our wonderful area Catholic churches to attend mass and receive your ashes.

Catholics must also abstain from meat and fast (only consume one full meal) on Ash Wednesday. We will continue to abstain from meat each Friday throughout the Lent and fast again on Good Friday.

We invite you to join us in these practices and enter into Lent with us. Throughout this season, as we prepare for Easter, we will be praying for all of our Acadiana OBGYN families.

St. Valentine’s feast day has been traditionally celebrated on February 14 and began the tradition of Valentine’s Day. St. Valentine is a martyr and the patron saint of happy marriages, love, and young people, among other things.

What is our success rate in helping women get pregnant?

Well…it’s pretty good!

Acadiana Ob/Gyn has helped hundreds of women overcome infertility. In fact, we’ve witnessed numerous women successfully become pregnant and give live birth–after having failed IVF and similar ART procedures. Some of these success stories include patients who had been trying for 10 years.
