With heavy hearts, we come to accept and share in the sorrow of the passing of Barry Stephanie Smallwood.
Sometimes loss takes a moment to fully settle in, and when it does, it reminds us just how deeply someone has touched our lives.
Barry Stephanie was a true beacon of light in our community. Her voice on the airwaves carried more than music and messages—it carried connection, joy, and purpose. She played a meaningful role in our Zydeco Bingos and community events, and her presence will be greatly missed. Things simply will not be the same without her warmth, energy, and unmistakable spirit.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, and all who loved her. May you find comfort in the memories shared, the lives she impacted, and the legacy she leaves behind.

The UnitedHealthcare health plan will not be available to Medicaid members in 2026.

If you are a current UnitedHealthcare member, you don’t need to take any action.

You can still use your ID card until the end of the year and you will automatically move to a new health plan by January 1, 2026.

You will receive updated coverage information before January 1.

Yesterday our Oasis crew stepped out with hearts and pots full — spreading love, warmth, and homemade gumbo to our neighbors in need. 💛🍲

There’s no better way to celebrate the season than by giving back and reminding our community that they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.
