“Wait — can you show him how to help me with this?”

And those moments always ended up being some of the most helpful.

Because it’s one thing to know about birth…
it’s another to feel like you and your partner actually have a plan going into it.

And I’ve seen how much it shifts things when partners feel involved —
not just standing there, but knowing how to support you in real time.

So instead of trying to squeeze that into a regular visit…
I created space for it.

These sessions are just an extension of what we’re already doing —
slowing things down, making it make sense, and giving you something you can actually use at home.

If you’ve been wanting a little more guidance, this is for you.

🤍 You can book it online or just ask me at your next visit.

There’s nothing sweeter than a little one relaxing into you while you sway and wait patiently for their tiny body to open up and release.

Here is something that doesn’t get said enough —
When a mom comes in telling me her baby won’t latch, won’t stop crying, won’t be put down… my brain doesn’t jump straight to “feeding problem.”

It goes to the whole baby.

Because a baby isn’t just a mouth. They are a whole person — a spine, a skull, a set of tiny joints, muscles, fascia and a nervous system — that just went through one of the most physically intense experiences of their entire life. Being born is hard on their little bodies too.

So yes, I’m going to look at how they turn their head. How they hold their body. Whether they tense up on one side and completely melt on the other.

Babies can’t tell us they’re uncomfortable. But they show us. Every single time. You just have to know what you’re looking for.

And here’s what I want every new mom to hear — you probably already sense that something is off. You just don’t have the words for it yet. So you say “she’s just fussy” or “he won’t sleep” or “I don’t know, she just seems unhappy.”

That mother’s intuition is there for a biological reason — to protect our babies. So make sure you lean into it.

What did you notice about your baby that was brushed off but deep down made you seek help?

The VBAC mamas I have right now are making me so proud. 🥹

They are coming in with questions. Taking all of the notes. Being incredibly intentional about who is on their birth team and who actually has their back. Starting prep work EARLY. Playing an active role in their pregnancy and births. That kind of preparation makes so much of a difference — and it is so beautiful to witness.

If you are planning a VBAC, this is your reminder that who you choose to surround yourself with matters. Your birth team, your support system, the people in your corner — it all plays a role in your outcome.

If you’re on a VBAC journey, what’s the part of preparation you want to know more about? Drop it in the comments. 💙

Is it a tongue and lip tie or is it unresolved body tension/stiffness mimicking a tie causing a functional issue?👀

Some weeks it’s more bumps. Some weeks it’s more babies.

The past two weeks have been the sweetest season — some come in and just melt right into the table, all settled and sleepy. And then there are the talkers. The ones who have so much to say during their visit and honestly? It makes my whole heart burst. 🥹

There is something so special about holding space for these tiny humans and watching their little nervous systems find their calm. It never, ever gets old.

If you’ve been wondering whether your baby could benefit from gentle chiropractic care — this is your sign.

The short version? Webster certification means specialized training to restore pelvic balance and create space for your baby during pregnancy.

And here at Birth Acadiana Chiropractic, Dr. Alayna has not only completed Webster certification but also advanced prenatal and birth prep training to support you through every stage.

Your baby doesn’t need to be breech or you have to be in pain to start care. A lot of mamas come in during their second or third trimester just to feel more aligned and prepared for birth.
