This month, we're shining a spotlight on ZaDora Williams!

In December 2025, she began her role as a Mental Health Specialist with the Provider to Provider Consultation Line, where she supports frontline pediatric and perinatal providers in caring for patients with mental health and substance use concerns. She provides education on mental health screening tools and identifies resources to connect patients with care and support in their communities.

ZaDora is passionate about her work! We are so grateful for her and the work she does to protect the health of our residents. πŸ’šπŸ’™

One month ago, we cut the ribbon on our newly renovated office building. We still feel humbled to have been surrounded by so many teammates, partners and friends. πŸ₯°

This event was so much more than the celebration of a building. It represented a celebration of our 35 years of service and, even more importantly, a reaffirmation of the work we will continue to champion in the coming decades. With you at our side, SWLAHEC will continue to thrive! SWLAHEC.org

Spring in Southwest Louisiana means more time outdoors β€” and that means more sun exposure.

Skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the United States, and our sunny climate means we need to be especially mindful. Whether you're fishing, gardening, or just enjoying the weather, be sure to wear sunscreen and protective clothing.

Your skin is worth protecting. Learn more from the American Academy of Dermatology: https://www.aad.org/public/diseases/skin-cancer
