An obituary is a way to announce the passing of a loved one and celebrate their life. But what do you include?

An obituary typically includes key information such as the deceased’s full name, age, date of passing, and place of residence. It should also highlight their life achievements, personal qualities, and surviving family members.

Adding details about the funeral service, memorial contributions, and any special requests or acknowledgments can provide additional context and help loved ones participate in honoring the deceased. Be sure to keep the tone respectful and focused on celebrating their life.

Striffler-Hamby Mortuary is here to help you craft a beautiful tribute to your loved one. We can also help you submit the obituary to the newspaper or online.
