Researchers from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and Stanford University are studying whether women with pelvic pain can learn to practice special yoga or physical conditioning exercises through on-line classes to improve their pain.
WHO CAN JOIN?
Women, living in the continental US, ages 18 or older
Often bothered by pelvic pain
Have a laptop, iPad, or tablet with broadband internet
WHAT WILL PARTICIPANTS BE ASKED TO DO?
Fill out diaries and questionnaires at home
Attend up to 6 video visits with the study coordinator
Participate in interactive, online yoga practice or physical conditioning classes led by a trained study instructor 2 times a week for 8 weeks
NOTE: Participants must be on-camera for classes and video visits.
Compensation: You could receive up to $200 in gift cards.
Other Benefits: If you enroll in the main part of this study, study classes and a set of physical conditioning or yoga props will be provided at no cost to you. You will also get personalized information about your mental and physical health.
Participating in a research study is voluntary. Your decision not to participate will not affect your ability to get regular medical care at UCSF or Stanford. If you are not interested in this study, you do not need to do anything.
Location: Visits will be conducted over Zoom.
