This patient presented with an embedded corneal foreign body that occurred approximately 10 days prior. A band of scarring neovascularization can be seen extending into the wound site which complicates the removal. The cornea was anesthetized and we removed the foreign body without complication. Antibiotic treatment was started and the patient will be followed closely while healing. (Photos used with patient permission.)
