West Georgia Health Foundation Insiders Graduates 11th Class
On October 9, twenty community leaders graduated from the 11th annual West Georgia Health Foundation Insiders Series. This program gives participants exclusive access to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center’s physicians, health care services, and advanced medical technologies. Insiders visit major service lines during eight monthly sessions, including surgery, bariatrics, emergency, cancer care, cardiovascular, physical therapy, wound care, women’s health, hospice, home care, pharmacy, and Vernon Woods Retirement Community.
Justin Williams, a teacher at Callaway High School, said Insiders was an outstanding learning experience. “Each of the presenters brought exceptional energy, clarity, and depth to their topics. Their real-world experience, engaging delivery, and passion for patient care made the sessions not only informative but inspiring. The combination of professional expertise and engaging presentation styles made it incredibly valuable.”
City of West Point Economic Development Director Meghan Richardson said, “The doctors all had a very caring and welcoming presence. I know that provides patients with confidence and self-assurance for the procedures they need from Wellstar’s physicians.
“I have really enjoyed the sessions and time getting to know other business associates in the group,” added Renasant mortgage lender Tammy Cox. “It’s been very eye opening to what is available in our community.”
Harriett Hayes, director of procurement with City of LaGrange Housing Authority, summed it all up, “This experience was absolutely amazing!”
