November marks SIX years that and have been partners together! What originally started with our owner and nurse practitioner Holly Viloria as a community outreach has now become one of the most unique programs in all of Orange County.

Our nurse practitioners provide on-site and remote mental health care for the most vulnerable members of our community and focus on building rapport, trust and empathy. It often takes creative approaches to reach clients and we couldn’t do it without all of the amazing staff.

Our nurse-practitioner team-based approach is essential in stabilizing our clients health so they can be successful in obtaining and maintaining permanent housing, employment, health and recovery.

It’s hard work but we love it! Thank you also to the collaboration from other local agencies that assist the shelter and us in our work as well! It is essential for agencies to work together to increase access and efficiency in providing care and we are always willing to brainstorm on new ways to work together. and many more now and in the future!

Join our team! We are looking for an exceptional therapist (LCSW, PsyD / PhD, or MFT) to join our interdisciplinary team of clinicians.

Our practice is a truly integrative practice in that we have two prescribing clinicians (family psych nurse practitioners-NP) and three therapists (LCSW's), as part of our LFHC team with the bonus of having on-site affiliated providers-PsyD-clinical neuropsychologist for neuropsych/psych testing, family practice/osteopathic DO (medical doctor) and a child/adolescent MD Psychiatrist available for additional collaboration.

Our private practice is located in beautiful South Laguna Beach with ocean views from most offices and offers full admin support. This is a therapist's dream....just show up and focus on your clinical care and the rest is taken care of!

December 1st is Worlds AIDS Day. Let’s not forget that the HIV virus has affected millions and still has no cure, despite promising treatment options. The World Health Organization (WHO) is paying tribute to all those working to provide HIV services, and in calling on global leaders and citizens to rally for “global solidarity” to maintain essential HIV services during COVID 19 and beyond. It is a call to focus on vulnerable groups who are already at risk and expand coverage to children and adolescents. And in 2020, the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife, it is a call for more protection and support to these health workers who have long been on the frontline of HIV service delivery. Don’t forget that frontline workers also include mental health providers too. We can all contribute to the effort to end AIDS and make the world a healthier place.

Our nurse practitioner team of Doug & Holly are excited for our June 1st reopening of in-person appointments! Not gonna lie..we have enjoyed bringing back our scrubs long lost in our closets since psych nurses rarely wear scrubs :) Since both of us also work at the Friendship Shelter and do some street outreach, scrubs were a must during these COVID-19 times. Note-picture taken pre-social distancing :)
