Meet Laguna Bluebelt Coalition 🌊
All of us were shaped by deep, personal experiences in nature that led us to protect the places we love. Since 2008…
🌞Mike grew up camping beneath redwoods and surfing Half Moon Bay with his brothers, learning to read tides and respect the ocean. Today, he swims Laguna’s coves weekly, witnessing thriving kelp forests, rays over the reef, and a rich ecosystem made possible because Laguna chose to protect its coastline.
🌞Charlotte came to Laguna after years living the outback life in Alaska. After wide-open landscapes and rugged living, Laguna became the place and community finally felt like home.
🌞Jinger grew up riding horses across the high desert, always longing for the ocean.
🌞Ashley’s love for the underwater world led her to marine science and teaching. Inspired by Sylvia Earle, she works to build stewardship for Laguna’s MPAs through the Bluebelt.
🌊Together, our stories reflect the same truth: the Bluebelt is more than a boundary on a map. It’s a promise, to protect the marine life that defines Laguna and pass that wonder on.
🐠Now it’s time to protect the last mile and connect Laguna’s Greenbelt to its Bluebelt.
