Meet Alix a local, creative soul and friend. π I was born in Laguna but grew up between Sun Valley/Ketchum, Idaho and the coast β winters skiing, summers and school breaks at the beach in Emerald Bay with my grandparents and dad. It truly felt like the best of both worlds.
Iβve always been drawn to color, pattern, texture, and plants β an instinct thatβs woven its way through every part of my life. My grandmother, Noni, was my greatest influence. She was always creating: handmade Santa houses, needlepoint stockings, beautiful jewelry, and unforgettable gardens. Watching her taught me that even quiet, everyday making can be deeply meaningful.
That sensibility followed me into adulthood, especially when my daughter Ella was little β making her jewelry, patching sweaters with unexpected fabrics, even turning a simple school lunch into something special. I believe small things hold enormous promise.
My brother Roddy was the first person to ask me to recreate something for a design job β oversized tie-dyed blankets β and I fell in love with the unknown. Will the colors work? Will it feel bold or subdued? I donβt need patterns to match. Most of the time, more is more.
Thank you Alix for creating our window storefront to spread LOVE everyday.
xx,
