May The Light
Be With You
As we step into the warmer months, there’s a quiet shift in the air—longer days, softer evenings, and a gentle invitation to open, expand, and begin again.
This season carries a different kind of energy.
One that asks you to clear out the old—physically, energetically, and emotionally—making space for what’s ready to bloom.
It’s the perfect time to refresh your space and your spirit. Cleanse your home with sage or incense, let the smoke drift through open windows, and invite in fresh, grounded energy. Work with crystals that support renewal and clarity—pieces that feel light, supportive, and aligned with who you’re becoming. Even the smallest rituals—lighting a candle, opening your doors to the breeze, resetting your favorite corner—can shift everything.
At Chakra Shack, May is all about that balance—grounding into yourself while letting your energy reach toward something new. Our shelves are filled with tools to support your reset—cleansing bundles, incense, crystals, and intentional pieces to help you refresh your space and energy.
We also have new offerings unfolding this month—fresh classes, intuitive readings, and little moments of magic waiting to find you.
However this season is meeting you, we’re so happy to be part of your journey.
It is time for May flowers!
Finances and resources are aligning with the abundance codes of Ta**us season. May’s energy helps us center deeply into the inner wisdom of our bodies, the right foods, and comfort in stable, reliable relationships. This season is here to simplify our finances and teach us the medicine of good, nourishing basics. Simple and straightforward. This month invites us to enjoy sacred spaces and create homes that truly support our mental and emotional health.
May 2nd brings new conversations and transformation within our private spaces. We begin to think more clearly about stable relationships and the type of communication that helps us feel relaxed and supported. This is a time to focus on creating abundance and understanding what our bodies need to feel aligned. You may feel drawn to refine your aesthetics and explore styles that feel like home.
May 16th, The New Moon in Ta**us! Marks a new beginning for finances and resources. Devote love and intention to your body and your home. Wear clothing that aligns with the version of you you have been stepping into. Adorn yourself with pieces that reflect your abundance and your values. Take yourself on a walk in an environment that feels nourishing. Create a moment of luxury, whether that is a bubble bath, a favorite meal, or a quiet ritual. You deserve the best. This is a powerful New Moon for earth signs & placements, to find steadiness and grounding in their new beginnings.
On May 18th, Mars enters Ta**us, forming a sextile with Venus in Cancer. The planet of action and drive meets the planet of receiving, embodiment, and feminine energy. This is a shift toward manifesting through ease rather than force. Venus in Cancer brings a nurturing quality, guiding us back into the home and into emotional awareness. It helps us understand how we perceive ourselves and how we create an inner sanctuary. This energy supports healing, emotional safety, and the ability to receive stable relationships in both business and love. It is also a beautiful time for caring for and adorning your home.
Here comes Gemini Season! May 20th, the Sun enters Gemini, activating energy with Pluto in Aquarius and bringing forward new information around community, social dynamics, and the collective. This is a time for exploring hidden or previously unspoken topics, and you may feel called to use your voice more intentionally through speaking or writing. May 22nd, the Astrology and Intuitive Gifts Circle begins at The Chakra Shack, as Mercury in Gemini forms a sextile to Saturn in Aries, connecting communication, learning, and expression with discipline, identity, and personal growth while supporting you in stepping into your individuality and learning how to communicate and connect with others in an aligned way. This is a time of empowerment, encouraging you to trust your intuition and express yourself with clarity and confidence.
Toward the end of May, around the 25th, Mars in Ta**us forms a square to Pluto in Aquarius. This brings a release of built-up energy and a deeper activation of purpose. It supports movement and aligned action in your manifestations through releasing resistance within yourself, including resistance around finances and mental patterns.
Anointing Oil
Sacred - Intentional - Healing
From temples to personal altars, it has long served as a bridge between the physical and the spiritual—something tangible that carries intention.
Anointing oil has been used for centuries across cultures and spiritual traditions as a way to bless, protect, and consecrate. Rooted in ancient practices, it was often made from a base oil infused with herbs, resins, and botanicals chosen for their energetic and symbolic properties.
Historically, anointing oils were used in rituals of healing, protection, and initiation. In many traditions, they were applied to the body to mark sacred moments—birth, transformation, devotion, or prayer. The act itself was never just about the oil, but about the intention behind it: calling in clarity, grounding, divine connection, or energetic renewal. Today, anointing oil can be used as a personal ritual tool to bring mindfulness and intention into your daily life. You might apply a small amount to your wrists, temples, or the back of your neck before meditation, journaling, or stepping into your day. It becomes a quiet signal to your body and spirit that you are choosing presence and alignment. It can also be used to cleanse and charge objects. Lightly anoint crystals, candles, or tools on your altar to amplify their energy and connect them to your intention. As you do, focus on what you’re calling in—whether it’s protection, love, clarity, or grounding—and let the ritual be slow and intentional.
There are many ways to work with anointing oil, depending on what you need in the moment. You can dress a candle before lighting it to set a specific intention, anoint doorways or thresholds for protection, or apply a small amount to your palms before energy work or readings. Some use it in bath rituals, adding a few drops to warm water, or incorporate it into prayer, spellwork, or manifestation practices. It can even be used to gently anoint written intentions, journals, or personal items you carry with you throughout the day.
There’s no one “right” way to use anointing oil. What matters most is your awareness in the moment. Take a breath, set an intention, and let the act be simple but meaningful. Over time, it becomes less about the oil itself and more about the ritual you’ve created with it.
In a fast-moving world, small rituals like this bring you back to yourself. Anointing oil is a reminder that intention can be carried through even the smallest acts—and that connection, grounding, and presence are always within reach. ✨
