Vomiting after swimming 👇🏼

It happens very often to kiddos who swallow water - whether it’s the pool or ocean. And it can happen multiple times, which is oftentimes scary for parents!

Take a deep breath because this is typically short-lived and doesn’t require urgent care.

Here’s the main thing to keep an eye on:
✨Make sure your child is drinking enough water or fluids to prevent dehydration. Dehydration can be really dangerous for kiddos and does require more urgent evaluation.
✨Any fever or other “sick symptoms?” If so it may actually be an infection and that’s another reason to seek your doctors help.

👏🏼 I hope more companies and public figures hold him accountable.

Peter Attia, the well-known “longevity” doctor, was named in the Epstein Files. His emails are disgusting and inexcusable. Physicians are and should be held to a higher standard when it comes to these issues. No amount of money or “power” can put you above the law.

🚨Physicians have a DUTY to report things like child abuse and sexual assault.

If you’re a victim or survivor, please know that you should feel safe reporting things like this to your physician. We are your advocates and can help. Please don’t let this horrible example cause you to think differently. We hear you and we are there for you.

Medicine isn’t complicated 👇🏼

If these statements are shocking, they really shouldn’t be!

Sometimes the answer to my patients questions is almost too simple, but I’d be lying if I tried to come up with a magic fix for their health issues. Thankfully, I can spend time counseling patients on lifestyle changes that can improve their quality of life, and medications that are safe and effective when needed.
