Meet Ashley! Say hi and read a bit about her below.

“I have worked at McCormick for a little over 2.5 years and in the funeral industry for over 10 years.

I never had this as a career path in mind when I was going to school. I worked for a veterinarian and other random jobs before going to school for mortuary science. Originally, my plan once I graduated from school was to work at the coroner or medical examiner. I realized that I was not going to get the fulfillment from that job that I get from what I’m doing now. Working at a mortuary gives me the ability to work funeral service from every aspect as I am both a licensed funeral director and embalmer and hold two degrees in Mortuary Science.

I like being home with my cats (Toast & Cheese), spending time with my parents who moved out to Orange County after I did, traveling to and visiting cemeteries and mortuaries in other parts of the world, I like going to the gym and spending time with my friends, trying new restaurants and enjoying all the beautiful places that Southern California has to offer.”

FUN FACT FRIDAY: Did you know Paul Revere is recognized as the first
person in America to identify dead bodies using dental identification. In 1776, following the Battle of Bunker Hill, Revere identified the remains of Major General Dr. Joseph Warren, his friend and a patriot leader, by recognizing a partial prosthetic appliance made of ivory and wire that he had previously crafted for him.
