Karry Campbell (Karry’s Elder Care)
Dear Karry:
We want to thank you and your family for the extraordinary care that was given to our
mother while in your care. You, Scott, Sabrina, and Veronica became so close to her, she
considered all of you members of her family.
Mom had a stroke in 2004, and though apparently thoroughly recovering, began to
develop eating, weight loss, and depression problems. When it reached the point where
we realized we were unable to give her the care she needed in our home, a series of
referrals led us to you and a subsequent placing of her into your care.
Over the next year, with your excellent nutritional care and personal attention, Mom’s
weight stabilized, her eating habits returned to near-normal, and her depression waned.
For the next six years, in spite of her advancing age, we watched her thrive in your care.
As you know, we spent a lot of time with her, visiting and on outings. She always liked to
tell us about her days since our previous visit. The stories and vignettes she told were of
someone who was relating family activities and was a reflection of her comfort with your
family.
The life-threatening stroke she had shortly before her 96th birthday in January 2012 put
her in the hospital. With hospice care being the only remaining diagnoses, we were
concerned that her final days would be distressing for her. When we learned that you
were licensed and able to provide hospice care for her, a large burden was lifted knowing
that she would be “at home” for her remaining days, which turned out to be a little over a
week more with you.
It was her time. She had a long and good life, and we are happy for her.
On a scale of one to ten, we would rate Karry’s Elder Care as a ten. We would be happy
to share our experiences with others who may be interested, Feel free to give them our
phone number as well as share this letter.
Loving regards to all of you,
Jim & Masako Coshland
