I LOVE THIS ANALOGY:
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee?
“Because someone bumped into me!!!”
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.
Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It’s easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... “what’s in my cup?”
When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies?
Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let’s work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

Good morning ☀️. Long post alert 🚨 🤓. Today , I am celebrating 2000 days of being clean and sober!!! My journey started December 16th 2018.

It has been a massive game changer for me. I am grateful for today. Energy and mindset is everything. Your vibe attracts your tribe.

Losing my mom and dad hasn’t been easy. Miss them everyday. Living in the present moment is where I’m at now. One day at a time. Health is wealth.

My energy is so much better and people take notice. I have done the work, manifested and sacrificed to achieve my goals. Always leveling up. I have zero fear when it comes to making new friends and landing new business. I am relentless. I do my best to smash any and all stigmas as it relates to ppl in recovery ❤️‍🩹. There is a great life living alcohol and drug free . This path isn’t for everyone. I completely respect that . I am very comfortable in any environment, period . Nobody has to change around me. I know who I am. I know what I want. Thank you so much for everyone’s good positive supportive energy. You know who you are!

“You were given this life, because you are strong enough to live it.”

March 17 2019 - my first ☘️ in over 30 years. As a professional drummer, I am in venues where are drinking and partying. I absolutely love performing . I am present, focused and observant of everyone and everything around me. I always hold space for myself and take breaks when necessary. I don’t flinch when it comes to protecting my recovery, ever.

I am also very comfortable in any environment. I’ve worked hard to get here 💪🏽 .

1919 days clean and sober today 🤙🏽
