This is a story of a girl who didn’t want to go to the gym but committed to going and having a half ass workout just to check the box.

Turns out once she got there she got motivated and had a phenomenal lift 🏋️‍♀️ . She told herself… just do 3 sets of 10…5 exercises later, and 20 min doom scrolling on the treadmill, she burned 350 calories.

She was so proud. She reminded herself that she has NEVER regretted forcing herself to do a workout but ALWAYS regretted not going.

Then she went home and ate her meal prep instead of ordering another burger from next door like she wanted.

Was it delicious? Meh…3 days old…needed to be eaten but guess who didn’t feel bloated and tired after that meal?

HER.

She thought to herself… I worked really hard for that workout. I’m not gonna mess it up by eating 1500 calories and feeling gross for two days.

Guess who felt energetic and happy the rest of the day?

HER as well.

One healthy decision often leads another and another and another.

When in a bind the girl always asks herself… What would a healthy person do in my position? And then she does that…most of the time 😉

I hope you enjoyed this story. And that you ask yourself next time…

What would a healthy person do?

Love you,

- The girl

Trying to get ready for a date in my luteal phase like looking like the hunchback of Notre Dame. 😂😭

I know I’m not alone thinking I look uglier 2 weeks out of the month right??

Here’s what’s happening physically:

Estrogen drops off a cliff. Progesterone spikes. Serotonin tanks. Your body holds water. Your face looks puffier. Your jeans feel tighter. And your brain starts running its own filter over your reflection that makes you not recognize yourself.

This is a hormonal shift that 100% of cycling women experience and almost nobody is taught about.

I made this reel because last month I watched a client cry telling me she felt disgusting in her own body and couldn’t figure out why. We pulled up her cycle tracking. She was six days out from her period. Every single time she’d spiraled in the last four months, she was in her luteal phase.

Your body isn’t betraying you. Your hormones are communicating with you. The work is learning to read the signals instead of fighting them.

Send this to the friend who blames herself every single month. She needs to hear this as much as you did.

💌 love you, Maria

The “screw it” voice almost won this time. But here’s what I did instead. 👇🏼👇🏼

Two months without the gym. Between moving countries, a back injury, and zero consistency, I went from lean and strong to softer and squishier. 😣

I was surprised to hear an old voice in my head saying, “If you’re not going to the gym, why bother eating clean? What’s the point?”

That voice was the all-or-nothing trap trying make it’s way back into my life. And if you’ve ever been there, you know exactly how convincing she is (little t**t 🤨).

But I made one decision:

I kept going with my nutrition. I kept meal prepping. I kept focusing on protein at every meal. I didn’t try to be perfect. I just didn’t quit. Oh..yeah. I def indulged in cornetto, pizza, and social drinks ( as one should moving to Italy 😉).

The result? I’m softer, yes. But I’m still at a healthy weight. Still comfortable in MOST clothes (except the tiny active wear). Still me. After LITERALLY not training for two months.

I probably wouldn’t fit into my clothes if I would’ve let myself go completely. 🫠

>>> Some of you let two bad weeks turn into two lost months. But this next version of you doesn’t have to.

Consistency doesn’t mean perfection. It means you keep going even when the conditions aren’t ideal.

You decide to be content with a B minus instead of dropping the class completely. You know?

Follow for more on building a body and a mindset that doesn’t fall apart every time life gets messy. It’s a fun time over here. 😉

I’m not actually scared of lifting weights. I’m scared of what happens if I stop.

Because lifting isn’t about getting “bulky.” It’s not about abs. It’s not just about the appearances.

For women in their 30s, strength training is one of the most effective tools we have for feeling less anxious, getting rid of sugar cravings, and supporting our hormone cycles so we don’t feel coo coo for Cocoa Puffs.

It’s the thing your body is actually asking for when you’re exhausted, bloated, and doing cardio until your knees hurt without seeing any change.

The irony is that the thing some of you are most afraid will “change” our body is the thing that finally gives you your body back.

Your energy. Your cycle. Your brain fog clearing. Your jeans fitting again. Your hormones doing what they’re supposed to do.

You’re not scared of lifting. You’re scared of hoping again and being disappointed.

I get it. I’ve been there. And I’m telling you…this time, the approach is different.

So tell me in the comments. What’s the fear keeping you from starting? I read every single one.

Angela lost the fat over 2 years ago and hasn’t been on a diet ever since.
That’s her in this video. Eating a cornetto and drinking cappuccino with me on the Amalfi Coast.
Not logging it. Not calculating it. Not “earning” it with extra cardio tomorrow.
Before we worked together she was stressed, gaining weight, bloated, and doing everything she thought she was supposed to do. Sound familiar?
We didn’t do another crash diet. We did one focused season of the right kind of work. We rebuilt her metabolism. We changed how she trained. We changed how she ate. And then we stopped.
That’s the part nobody talks about. 🛑 The stopping. The part where the diet is actually over and your life just... continues. Better.

Today she trains hard 4 times a week because she wants to, not because she has to. She eats intuitively. She doesn’t think about food the way she used to. The mental load is gone.
That’s the difference between doing 12 diets the wrong way and doing 1 diet the right way. One keeps you stuck in the 🔄 . The other sets you free from it.
You don’t need waste time and money trying all the different types of diets to see which one will work. You just need ONE season of doing it RIGHT so you never have to do it again.
If you’re ready for your last diet and to create our own version of Angela’s story, the link is in my bio. Also, vacationing and connecting with clients is a dream come true 💕

For years she saved workout videos but never pressed play on actually changing her life. Sound familiar?

told me: “I’ve never been this person before. I want to love me more because I finally think I’m worth it.”

Constant bloating. Terrible sleep. Mood swings and social anxiety. Body completely out of her control after coming off birth control. She’d been collecting workout lists and food ideas for over a year but couldn’t get herself to commit.

She didn’t need another plan. She needed someone to see the whole picture.

We started with her gut. Addressed the hormones post-BC. Made sure she was actually eating enough (under-eating was the problem nobody told her about). Built strength training around the equipment she had at home. And we worked on what was really keeping her stuck: the all-or-nothing thinking, the spiraling, the anxiety underneath everything.

It wasn’t pretty. But instead of letting one bad day become a bad month, she started catching herself. She wrote in a check-in: “I’m proud of myself for knowing it’s okay to fall down as long as you get back up.”

145 to 133 lbs. Bloating gone. Anxiety reduced. She went from dreading social situations to showing up for friend dates and adventures. And she told me: “I’ve been looking at myself and loving what I see.”

Swipe to the last photos. Those are AFTER the program. I love how proud she is 🥹. It’s a part of her life now.

Still going. Still building. Because we didn’t give her rules. We helped her understand her own body.

DM me READY and I’ll tell you how we can do this for you too. The approach was wrong, not you.
