I'm Opting Out too!
So now they are doing it, just announced on Channel 4 News. Facebook is charging all users starting Monday. You can do an opt-out by doing this. Hold your finger over this message and copy it. It can’t be shared. I do not give permission for Facebook to charge $4.99 a month to my account, also; all my pictures are my property of mine and NOT Facebook's!!! CoQ10 relieves Statin induced muscle pain....DUH!!! We have been a proponent of this for the last 21 years, even did a “dose finding study” in 1998 in our practice. We took 50 patients with Statin (Lipitor, Zocor, Pravachol) intolerance/muscle aches, and put them in groups of 10 each on 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500mg of CoQ10. The results: ~50% got relief with 100mg, ~75% with 200mg and ~95% with 300mg. But of the remaining 5%, no one benefitted from the 400 or 500mg dose, so we routinely recommend 300mg a day. Have for 20 years. Interesting it is only now being seen in the mainstream medical journals. CoQ10 is necessary for the production of ATP, the ”powerhouse” of all the cells in the body. Intersestingly, the Big Pharma KNEW the statins depleted the body of CoQ10 before they even began marketing them! The makers of the first statin, Lovastatin (Mevacor) tried to market it with CoQ10 actually incorporated into its formulation, but were thwarted by the FDA because their trials did not include this additive, so they pulled it back and went with only the Lovastatin.

I actually had one patient with documented Rhabdomyolysis, with CPK’s over 100,000, who after getting off dialysis and a “re-do” bypass (I had not seen him in over 5 years and his HMO cardiologist had not been monitoring his CPK’s, but his family recognized me and begged me to take over his care one day when I was walking through the ICU), I told him I was going to put him BACK on Pravachol, but ALSO CoQ10 and monitor his CPK’s very frequently. Over the next 10 years that he lived, before dying of pancreatic cancer, his CPK never went above 350, less than 3 times the upper limit of normal, which was acceptable.
