What sitting really does to your body isn’t just tight hips or a sore back…

It changes how you breathe, stabilize, and regulate your nervous system.

This one might hurt some feelings 🚨

Decompression can help some disc injuries, but more often than not it doesn’t work the way you expect it to.

1. Disc injuries are rarely just a pressure problem.

Disc injuries may reduce pressure temporarily but it doesn’t fix the poor movement patterns or inflammation that caused the disc injury.

2. The effect is temporary.

The “negative pressure” that they say helps pull the disc herniation inward, only exists when you’re on the table.

Gravity + movement return the spine to normal loading once you stand up.

3. It doesn’t retrain the body.

Disc injuries are strongly linked to:
- Poor spine stability
- Weakness or asymmetry
- Bad movement habits

Decompression is passive, it doesn’t teach your body to move better, so the root cause stays.

Long story short: Decompression reduces symptoms temporarily but it doesn’t fix the underlying cause.
