I think I may feel like guacamole after today’s workout. Not because this should be a goal but because I am working today as well. So I will be up and about ALL day. And getting stronger again means I will feel my workouts of today and the next few weeks a little bit more. Yet remember, a good workout should not have you so sore you are miserable for two days after. That’s a myth. Aim for feeling your muscles; feeling a little sore and a lot tired 😉

I am a fitness professional that has been out of shape twice in my lifetime. After the birth of my twins and this past autumn when I had to put others before me way more than ever. I only started getting consistent with my workouts last week. I will admit 💯 that it sucks getting started again. I am taking it slowly and not looking at the scale. Besides my body responds really well to weight training. So the weight room is where you’ll find me. I recommend this approach because it WORKS. It is not a quick fix so I remind myself that “slow and steady wins the race”.

Sometimes I think I couldn’t survive without chaos in my life. If you are anything like me and wonder how you got through another day of crazy, share it in the comments below. Seriously-
You don’t have to change everything all at once. In fact, if a coach or trainer expects you to do so, you need to fire them.
What I’ve
learned through many
years of coaching many different types of people is:

1) The less you change in the first few weeks, the better. Small changes each week will create a lasting, positive result.

2) There is no such thing as a quick fix. We are not broken; therefore you don’t need to be fixed. Yeah, your habits may need to be fixed; however, a three week program cannot change your habits for long-term.

3) Nobody is happy during a quick fix. They eventually go back to their old ways for the sheer familiarity of it.
I have helped many work to never repeat that mistake.
I want you to experience positive results that will empower you. Because who doesn’t feel empowered when they are successful?

I want you to be successful. Let’s avoid crash diets, quick fixes and super-sore muscles.

Sustainable habits are hands down the best path to a healthier life. A stronger you. Less chaos. More control. #

So good to be back out there after a rainy holiday break. I spend many hours per week online with my clients
and I love mixing it up with Tues/Thurs outdoor classes. Grateful for the great weather…cannot believe it is Jan 4th😎☀️ Wherever you are, whatever the weather, remember to take some time for movement. Exercise, including mobility and recovery should be on everyone’s schedule. Start tomorrow. Put it on your 📆(not as far out as July though. Lol)
