Have you noticed the Cloudless Sulphur (Phoebis sennae) butterfly in your garden?! They feed on a wide variety of nectar plants like our favs Salvia 'Mystic Spires' and Lantana. Since they have an extra long probiscus, they can also choose flowers like Petunias or Honeysuckles that other butterflies may not be able to use.

Designs by Grace

Grace Buchanan, landscape designer and live-long South Texas gardener, has been involved in the landscape design & contracting business for 11 years with Gill Garden Center & Landscape Company in Corpus Christi, Texas and recently moved to the Rio Grande Valley. She has a M.Ed. & B.S. from Texas State University and in May of 2019 graduated Cum Laude from Del Mar Community College with an Associates in Applied Science in Architectural/ Drafting Technology with a specialization in Technical Drafting. She has certificates in Drafting & Design Technology, Computer Aided Drafting, Technical Drafting and Garden Design and Maintenance. She's currently studying to become a Certified Nursery Professional, which will eventually allow her to sign off on landscape ordinance plans in Texas. She’s a Dynascape expert and has drafted literally thousands of designs in the Corpus Christi area as a design assistant, garden coach and landscape designer. The majority of her projects are residential, but she does have some commercial experience. She continues to work a few days a week at Gill's, but will be offering landscape designs & her project management skills in the Rio Grande Valley starting this spring.
