I have been so blessed to work in the recovery/treatment industry for the last 10 years. The transition from working at a treatment facility to opening my own coaching and intervention company was incredible as I thought it would be a part time job and maybe make a little money doing work that I love. It turned out to be a 7 day a week, sometimes 24 hours a day adventure. I have worked with amazing families and clients....many have become lifelong friends. Seeing the broken recover has been definitely the most rewarding. But sometimes I had to experience losing one and comforting a family through that.... I had a mother of one of these cases call me a year after her sons death to thank me for being the only one who never gave up on her son. I know what it feels like to be given up on.
The last 9 months has become very challenging as my health is declining. For 20 years I have had COPD ,Emphysema ,and it has definitely progressed more in the past year than any before. My Fev 1 is 31%..... which indicates 2 percentage points from stage 4(final stage). Im also doing extensive infusion treatments for a non tuberculosis mycobacterium absessus infection that complicates it even more. Due to all these complications my business is closing, I will not be taking any new cases for coaching or intervention. I will finish the remote cases that I have left by the end of the month. I have to work on Healthcare and trying to do my best to be here as long as I can for my family. I am so grateful for all the connections and friends I have made in this adventure and I don't plan for those relationships to end....please don't stop calling. I will stay in touch as best I can. This is very difficult for me so please pray with me and for me and my family. I love you all.
