I was in MMC a while back, not once but twice. Through the ER and admitted to ICU for a few days both times then to step down units. I have to say the care I received from both Doctors and Nurses was life sustaining and was shown nothing but care and compassion. I remember a nurse who stayed with me when I was so afraid, thought death was knocking on my door, he was very reassuring that he had me, wouldn’t leave me, even ate his meal in my room. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking and remembering how selfless he was. I was well cared for and have to say I wouldn’t be here today had it not been for the nurses that listened to me and what I was experiencing at the time and getting through to the hospitalist that was assigned to me and making changes as needed. My heart is with the health care workers and physicians that stand in front of people who are having life altering changes happening to them and putting the care and needs of their patients before that of their own safety. Stay safe and know your thought of often and with kindness!❤️❤️
